![]() Hi guys! Amanda, the fan site runner here. ArcheoCon in San Diego was a blast. I will soon have a video up from the event. FYI - Josh is also doing events soon on the East Coast and in Los Angeles, so check out the previous fan site update for more info. I also will be seeing Josh Gates again at the San Diego Travel & Adventure show in a couple of weeks so I can do a video interview asking fan questions on camera, but for now, here were some questions Josh Gates answered at ArcheoCon: The most important question - When is Expedition Unknown back? New episodes are being finished up for the editing and filming process, but no official air date yet, but it will air soon! Here are more questions answered or fun stuff: Fun Fact: ArcheoCon was also taking place during the 120th anniversary/annual meeting of the AIA (Archeology Institute of America) in San Diego, alongside the Society for Classical Studies What is the meaning behind your necklace? He explains it in his book, but you can also check out this YouTube interview he did about the necklace, as well On the same note, do you know who runs the Josh Gates Necklace Facebook page? He said it's hilarious but he does not run it Dr. Sarah Parcak and Dr. Patrick Hunt also spoke this weekend. Josh said he is "an idiot with a torch" compared to his colleagues speaking at ArcheoCon. The number one question he gets asked - how did he land the career he did of being a TV adventure guy? He talks about it in his book, so be sure to pick it up! You can also hear about this at any of his live events. MORE AFTER THE PAGE BREAK "Electric feeling...when you feel this fingerprint connection to the past" is one of the best parts about Josh's past studies in archeology He went through two passports during his time shooting Destination Truth. Were the people you met during your time on DT crazy or lying? The show really taught me that every story has value because someone took the time to tell it. The key is to really listen. Is your "office" in the opening of Expedition Unknown really in New York? If so, where? The office is actually in Los Angeles and they originally wanted to stay true to that, but focus groups said it seemed "too Hollywood." It was determined New York was a worldly enough location to use for the office. For more answers to really cool fan questions from the event, stay tuned for the in-depth video from it! It's going to be great.
