I am such a dork - I can't believe I forgot to share this story! While I was in the press room for the "Sanctuary" panel at Comic Con 2010, I remembered that I noticed right away that Josh had his iconic necklace on when he was moderating the panel about an hour ago. We were randomly speaking and I asked him if I could take some close up shots of the pendant for the fans. He laughed and said sure, so I closed in and took THIS shot.

It was another dreary morning on Day 4. Christiane and I were very tired from the previous day's activities and also juggling her two kids, but we were excited for what was to come. We walked around the convention center main floor first to take photos and look at merchandise, then we went directly to the Hilton to gets seats in the Indigo Ballroom for the "Sanctuary" panel Josh would be hosting a few hours later. It was a little odd how they set up the panels this year, as they didn't clear out the room before a new session would start, but it was also a good opportunity for more loyal fans to sneak a seat for an event they wanted to see. We got some pretty wretched seats when we first got in after the "Fringe" panel ended, but we also knew it would be another two panels ("Leverage" and "Venture Brothers") before Josh was on.
CLICK "READ MORE" TO THE RIGHT I'm compressing all of the events of Days 1 and 2 of Comic Con 2010 together because the first consisted of mostly travel. Here is what most of day one was - I had to drag my bags to my stepmother's car, she drove me to the commuter rail stop, took an hour long train ride to Boston, then took a Silver Line bus to Logan Airport, arrived at Logan and got on my plane a couple of hours later. I had to switch flights in Chicago, but I was fine with this because my favorite sandwich shop in the world, PotBelly's, happened to be there. I grabbed a turkey on white with American (people who know me personally know I must love their sandwiches because I HATE American cheese with a passion, but something about the way their bread and turkey taste make it tolerable to me) and got on my next flight.
CLICK "READ MORE" TO THE BOTTOM RIGHT I slipped past the crowd of people waiting to eat in the Cafe and took a photo of what Christiane and I had dubbed the Josh Gates booth, as there was a giant poster/stickup on the wall of him over it. I snapped a photo and then noticed some bright red hair in the shot. When I looked harder, I noticed it was not only Danny ("DT" production coordinator) sitting there, but it was also Allison Scagliotti of "Warehouse 13"! I didn't want to disturb their meal, but I figured since I just saw Allison yesterday and Danny was familiar with me, as long as I was (as always) respectful, they wouldn't mind if I said hi.

There, Christiane was waiting with her husband and two kids. At that point, I started getting calls from fellow fans coming to the event who were either lost or trying to figure out where we were exactly. Rex walked off for a moment during the onslaught of calls but he came back and waved me over. “We're over here!” I didn't quite know what he meant, but I assumed he meant Josh would be meeting us there, so I walked over. When I looked up from my phone, I mentally said “duh!” because Josh was literally right there outside of the Hard Rock shop talking to Rex.
