I've been a fan of DT for two years now. I've never been a huge fan of Syfy, but once I got turned onto DT I've never missed an episode. I got into DT because of a friend's recommendation. I think the show thrives because of the likability of the show's host, Josh Gates. His comments are often dripping in sarcasm but whenever he is speaking to an eye witness he is always very humble and sincere. Without Gates the ratings would plummet. I mean the man is built like a superhero but has the voice of Kermit the Frog, what's not to love? He also has the gift to actually find evidence! I wish that they would spend more time on certain investigations. Here's hoping Syfy gives them a larger budget for next season. I've been meaning to do a portrait of Josh Gates for quite a while now. I've been drawing since I was 9 months old. Whenever someone inspires me to do more with my life, I feel the need to pay homage to them in whatever way that I can.  My whole family became big fans [of "DT"] during the marathon of Season 3 before Season 4, but I'm submitting my 7 year old daughter (pictured with her brother) as Fan of the Week. She idolizes Ryder and...wants to be Ryder when she grows up. She started a ghost catchers club and they're investigating a haunting of the girl's bathroom (not sure what's going on there). Every night after my son and she have finished their homework and we have time to relax, we pull up our DVR'ed episodes and pick one to watch together...and their previous favorite show, "The Othersiders", which I just found out Ryder was a producer on!
