- There is an "Expedition Unknown" marathon on Travel Channel this Wednesday and I believe there is a new episode that night? If I am wrong, please feel free to correct me.
- "Destination Truth" and "EXU" will marathon all night on Friday after "Ghost Adventures"
Hi guys. Here is the airing schedule and some news for this week:
Here's some other fun stuff to check out:
Hi everyone. San Diego Comic Con is next week and because I'll be busy working and then attending, I wanted to share three things:
Hi guys. Here is the news, this week:
Hi guys. Here is what's going on this week:
Josh Gates was the grand marshal of the Roswell 70th anniversary parade, as well as generally taking part in the festivities this past weekend. You can check out what he was up to through his Instagram account, and this live broadcast from his Facebook page of him judging the costume contest!
This week's airing schedule is an all night "Expedition Unknown" marathon on Wednesday with a "new" episode where Josh's top 10 adventures are counted down with new bonus footage. On Friday, there is a "Destination Truth" marathon with a few episodes of "Expedition" sprinkled in there. As always, check local listings. Have a nice week!
Hi guys. Keeping it brief this week:
New "Expedition Unknown" episode this Wednesday night sandwiched into an EXU marathon on Travel Channel. Yes, it's a highlight special episode, BUT it looks to have updates on some past cases, if the description is correct.
Friday, we have a "Destination Truth" marathon with a couple of EXU reruns in the mix after "Ghost Adventures"
As always, check local listings and compare to your correct timezone. Be sure to explore the site for fun exclusive blogs, and to check out a copy of the Fan Guide to Destination Truth. Have a nice week!
Hi, fellow fans. Sorry this update is so late into the week - was a bit under the weather the last couple of days.
This week's airing schedule is an "Expedition Unknown" marathon tonight on Travel Channel, but it looks like no new episodes this week. On Friday, we have some EXU reruns with a marathon of "Destination Truth" which includes two "new" DT reruns in the mix, as well.
Here is some other news and information that may be interesting to you guys, while you are here:
Josh Gates will be attending the Roswell 70th UFO anniversary, taking place June 30th to July 2nd. You can read the length and fascinating article for details here. As you can also see by the screenshot from Josh's Twitter, he recently hit 1 Million Frequent flier miles, which is impressive!
If you want to read some cool blogs on this site, here is what I recommend:
Before we get into the news this week on all things Josh Gates, "Expedition Unknown" and "Destination Truth," I want to thank Travel Channel (specifically blogger Jessica Galliart) for mentioning resources from this fan site multiple times in one of their latest pieces "11 Things You Might Not Know about Josh Gates," which you can read here. Just to clarify, the author of the necklace fan page is this site's runner, which is me (Amanda). If you want to know more about how I have been running this site for almost 10 years, as well as exclusive interviews and a history of "Destination Truth," get the Fan Guide to DT here, or scroll below for your weekly news.
Josh has recently been involved in a fun set of videos "Uncharted Discoveries" where the viewers pick random adventures for him to go on. It is sponsored by Land Rover, but it's not obnoxiously "in your face" sponsored, so it is really funny and enjoyable. You can watch the videos on the Travel Channel Facebook page by clicking here.
For this week's airing schedule, check out Travel Channel on Wednesday night for an "Expedition Unknown" marathon and a brand new "Expedition" episode. On Friday (after "Ghost Adventures" and "Expedition"), we continue to enjoy the revival of our favorite "Destination Truth" reruns with Josh, Erin Ryder, Jael de Pardo, Rex Williams, Gabs Copeland, Casey Brummels, and more of our favorites, on Travel Channel. Enjoy and check your local listings!
WEDS = all night marathon of "Expedition Unknown" on Travel Channel with a new episode and a re-run of one of last week's "Josh Gates' Destination Truth" episodes sprinkled in there.
FRIDAY = after "Ghost Adventures," there are "Expedition" reruns and two "new" DT re-runs on.
To clarify, for everyone - Travel Channel is re-airing DT under the name "Josh Gates' Destination Truth." There are no new episodes planned to be shot and aired for DT (that I am aware of) and yes, they are airing them out of sequence, compared to how they originally aired on Syfy/SciFi. Check your local listings and time zones for accurate viewing schedules. Also, a regular reminder that this is a fan page not run by Josh Gates/Travel/Syfy/Ping Pong Productions.
On WEDS the 31st, there are 2 "Expedition Unknown" (EXU) reruns on in the morning, then at night, there is an all night marathon of EXU with a repeat of one of last week's "Destination Truth" (AKA "Josh Gates' Destination Truth" AKA DT) reruns sprinkled in the middle.
Then on Friday the 2nd, we not only get EXU reruns, but then, we get more "new" DT reruns, too!

Hi, all. A fellow fan sent me a dismayed message asking why the order of airing with "Destination Truth" episodes on Travel Channel is so drastically different as they are being aired, in comparison to when they appeared on Syfy/SciFi. She especially had a good point, since there are those who may buy my "Fan Guide to Destination Truth" and get confused about the order of episodes as they were shot/edited/aired in time versus how they are being shown on Travel.
I do not know, so my guess is that Ping Pong Productions wanted to edit and air them in the order they wanted. That and there are likely people who are going to be discovering "DT" for the first time with these reruns on a new network, so in the grand scheme of things, not sure if it matters so much. Hope I don't ruffle feathers by saying that.
As far as the book, it documents the history of "DT" in relation to it's original network and came out more than a year before these reruns found a new home on Travel Channel. I hope that clears things up! On that note - the price of the book has been lowered to celebrate the show's revival - it is full of exclusive interviews, insider info, and even a foreword by Josh Gates himself!
