- WEDS the 18th, 7 p.m. EST to 4 a.m. EST, with a new episode at 9 p.m.
- a re-run SAT at 11 a.m. EST
Congrats to Joshua Gates and the "Expedition Unknown" crew for their evidence from a latest episode getting a lot of attention in the longstanding D.B. Cooper mystery. You can watch the rerun of this episode on Wednesday night, the 18th. Speaking of which, here is an airing schedule (again, check local listings, as the schedule on Travel Channel's site can be unreliable sometimes):
Happy New Year, guys! Your site runner Amanda, here. I am going to be out of the country for a little over a week, so I wanted to give you all the airing schedule for "Expedition Unknown" while I am gone. As always, be sure to check your local listings to confirm the schedule via Travel Channel's site to make sure it's accurate:
Hi, all! Hope everyone had a good Holiday season (or you are still having a nice one!) Here is what is going on in our corner of the fan universe...
I know Josh has not been active on Twitter lately, but just a reminder that "Destination Truth" alumni Rex, Jael and Ryder are still quite active on there with fans! Otherwise, I advise you to check out Josh's Instagram shots, as they are quite beatufiul and since that account is not connected to his Twitter when it updates, you have to follow and check it manually, but it's totally worth it.
I also advise looking up the hashtags #expeditionunknown and #destinationtruth on Twitter to connect with other fans, as well as the two Facebook groups for this fan site network HERE and HERE (same content is shared on pretty much each page right now, but I am looking to change that up for 2017).
Here is the "Expedition Unknown" airing schedule on Travel Channel: on Wednesday the 28th, from 4 p.m. EST until 9 p.m. EST, there is a marthon followed by a brand new episode - it's Part 1 of the Wooly Mammoth case, which is awesome! There are then more reruns that night until 4 a.m. There is also a rerun on Saturday, which is a good way to celebrate before the New Year!
As always - the schedule on the Travel Channel site is sometimes not accurate, so be sure to check local listings. You can also check out occasional "Destination Truth" reruns on Syfy and Chiller TV. Also, if you do not have Travel Channel, you can buy episodes on iTunes.
Hi guys. If you're looking to do some last minute shopping, or have some extra spending money from the holidays, here is some merchandise for you to look into at this link - the list includes Josh's book, the site's "Destination Truth" fan guide, & TV episodes.
Here is the airing schedule this week for "Expedition Unknown" on Travel:
Hey everyone. Hope December is treating you all well. Some reminders:
Check out live events that Josh Gates will be doing in 2017 by visiting Ideal Management. There are also "Destination Truth" re-runs frequently airing on Chiller TV.
For your "Expedition Unknown" airing schedule on Travel Channel:
Hi guys. Just letting you know there is a new episode of "Expedition Unknown" tonight on Travel Channel at 9 p.m. EST It is another "best of" style special. There is a marathon before the new episode starting at 7 p.m. EST and reruns go until 4 a.m. EST. Tnere is also a re-run marathon on after "Ghost Adventures" this Friday night, as well as reruns on Saturday and Sunday.
Just a note, while I'm here - I have been informed by fans that the schedule Travel posts on their site is not always accurate. This was after confirming fans were looking at the correct time zone listings. I always recommend fans check local listings, if there is any doubt a program is going to air. I just run a fan page - I do not control when the show airs or when it is cancelled re: DT. On that note, talent that appear on TV shows also do not have control over these factors, either. Thanks!
Hey guys! So I am going away on another business trip this week and then immediately afterwards, I return to get married (hence me borrowing this great photo from Josh Gates' Instagram from when he was married). If you're so inclined, enjoy the story about how Josh inadvertently played match maker with the two of us in this post.
ANYWAY, here is the airing schedule this coming week for "Expedition Unknown":
Otherwise, you can also check out this previous post about some serious "Destination Truth" nostalgia that happened on "Expedition Unknown: Hunt for the Yeti" HERE
The "Expedition Unknown: Hunt for the Yeti" event on Travel Channel has received a lot of great feedback. I think the biggest part of it all is that fans of "Destination Truth" got a huge dose of nostalgia from watching it (as exemplified by this photo of Josh from a "DT" discovery he had close to 10 years ago).
Although I don't want to spoil the outcomes of these episodes, I did want to share some of the best moments:
One of the coolest moments, off the bat, was when we saw Josh Gates reunite with Tul Sherpa, who helped Josh make a huge Yeti related discovery on "DT." The pair, both a little older than when we lost saw them together on screen, hiked over to the spot where they first made their discovery, even though the landscape had changed noticeably due to earthquakes and landslides.
This moment also went hand in hand when we got to see some footage from "DT" courtesy of Syfy, which was pretty wild!
Here is another wild moment. Remember on "DT" when that Monk threw rocks at Josh and Team Truth for entering their Monastery and asking to see the supposed Yeti scalp? It's hard to forget. There was a small victory, as they were allowed to come in and see the scalp. However, they were not allowed to touch it in "DT" - just to see it in a closed case.
Fast forward to Josh on "Expedition Unknown" and we got to see that the team not only got to take it out of the case this time, but touch it AND take detailed photos!
Alumni from "Destination Truth" on "Expedition Unknown" and more? Check out this previous piece from this fan site comparing the two shows. You can also check out this post about the possibility of Ryder someday being on "Expedition Unknown"!
When we got towards the end of the special event, it came time for evidence review. One of the first stops was to a familiar face for many a "DT" fan. Jim Dines, a mammalogist in Los Angeles, helped Josh try to unravel the mystery of the Yeti scalp, just as he had on many previous different "DT" investigations, which was pretty crazy!
Speaking of familiar faces, Jeffrey Meldrum was also another evidence expert on "DT" that we saw Josh visit for this "EXU" adventure. It was truly great to see how technology has progressed since the last time he helped Josh review cryptozoologic evidence.
What was your favorite moment from "Hunt for the Yeti"?
New "Expedition Unknown" episodes on Travel Channel keep on coming. The next new episode on Wednesday the 2nd at 9 p.m. EST, Plummer's Gold, is also the 9th episode to feature a "gold" theme. The new season will feature such mysteries as The Wooly Mammoth, Attila the Hun, Captain Kidd, and more! Check out a preview trailer for the new season HERE
Josh narrated the first episode of Travel Channel's "Everest Air" - I am not sure if he will be doing the whole season. The program airs again this coming Wednesday right after "Expedition Unknown"
