On Halloween in 2007, Joshua Gates hosted "Ghost Hunters Live" at the Waverly Sanitorium. He took part in the corresponding "Revelations" round table episode the same year.
On Halloween in 2008, Gates also hosted "Ghost Hunters Live" at the infamous Fort Deleware. He hosted the "GH" roundtable shortly after the live special.
On Halloween in 2009, Josh hosted a live "GH" clipshow with an interactive investigation of Essex County with Steve and Tango of "GH".
In March of 2010, Gates hosted the landmark "GH Live - Alcatraz" event at the iconic Studio 8H in NYC. The show featured footage of TAPS' investigation of Alcatraz Island with a studio audience of the show's fans who reacted/interacted with the cast, as well as fans sending in questions for the cast to answer live on the air.
He has also appeared as a guest investigator on the first season of "Ghost Hunters International" searching for the truth behind the legend of Frankenstein, as well as "Ghost Hunters" Season Five at Essex County.
Gates is most notable for his own show on SciFi called "Destination Truth." In this show, Gates travels with an expert team around the world searching for the truth behind certain cryptozoological creatures. The team is also known to have investigated alleged haunted locations, but not as often as taking part in the search for physical creatures.
The show recently completed it's second season and has proven ground breaking not only in ratings, but in discoveries. The most notable being a supposed Yeti footprint found while the team
was investigating in Nepal. The show garnered a Hulu Award for best Leisure/Travel Show.
In the summer of 2009, Gates and his crew completed a round of shooting, as well as editing the show.
SciFi became Syfy in July, and the third season is slated to premiere in early September.
