![]() Hello, fellow fans. I hope you have all been healthy and safe during this global pandemic. I also hope you have been watching and enjoying Josh Gates Tonight on the Discovery Channel. What great guests and topics we have seen! I wanted to do a quick post without any ads speaking from the heart about the recent civil unrest we have seen in recent times. Now is the time where we as a global community must come together to have a conversation with ourselves, at home, in our hometowns, about racism, our communities, and what kind of world we leave for the next generation. Even with the pandemic, why not make it an overall conversation about how we treat our fellow humans we share this world with? Humanity and empathy have become huge topics in these troubled times - it is never too late to open our minds and hearts.
On a recent episode of Josh Gates Tonight, Josh had this to say: "This is usually where I kick things off with some solid dad jokes and sweat pants humor, but at a time when our country has been rocked by social unrest, I thought we might take a moment instead to reflect on tonight’s theme. We are just three days away from the anniversary of D-Day. As we struggle now with serious challenges, I take comfort in remembering a time when our nation came together to face an existential crisis. Look, we can’t pretend that many of the problems we’re facing now didn’t exist then...Americans are greater than the sum of our differences. I hope we can find that spirit of unity in the days and weeks ahead. We need it. What better way to honor the greatest generation, who sacrificed so much for all of us?"
