With Travel Channel airing reruns of "Destination Truth" and a new audience discovering the show that was cancelled in 2014, I thought it would be fun to put a spotlight on the Fan Guide to DT, for a moment. Here is a quick interview with co-author of the Fan Guide, Brad Acevedo: ![]() How did you first find "Destination Truth"? What was the first episode you remember watching? BRAD: I was surfing through Syfy (then SciFi) and found it really interesting. It appealed to my love of cryptids and folklore, which I am still into. I think the Pombero/Lobizon episode from Season 1 was the first episode I ever watched. What were your favorite moments or discoveries from the show? BRAD: The Aokigahara Forest and King Tut cases stand out to me. They were intense and creepy. What is your favorite funny quote or moment from the show? BRAD: Ryder racing the ostriches was pretty funny. Josh getting his feet pecked by the exfoliating fish made me laugh. Carlos the mime shape-shifter man was great. Most of all, I'll always remember the scenes in the opening credits where he hits Gabe with a sling shot, as well as when the monkey yanks the sunglasses off his head. Brad has released his first solo author effort, which is a must-have for horror enthusiasts, especially during the Halloween Season! Grab a copy of "Death by 100 Cuts" by clicking here. Be warned: the book is mature in nature and may not be suitable for kids under the age of 16.
