Hi guys! Here is more info on what is going with new "Expedition Unknown" episodes: ![]() New "Expedition Unknown" adventures with Josh Gates will start to air on Discovery Channel starting May 29th. You can check out when re-runs or premieres will happen in your time zone, or to the best convenience of your schedule, via this link on Discovery's website What about new episodes of "Expedition" and when they will air on Travel Channel? My source tells me - "I'm not sure. The new episodes that we have starting on Tuesday will all be airing on Discovery. I assume that they will then repeat on the Travel Channel but I have no idea when." I do wish I had better info, but here is some research I did for the near future: The "Legend of the Snake King Part 1" episode airs on Discovery tomorrow as the first installment of the new episode run. It does not air on Travel Channel at least this week, but we can keep checking for the following week. Other news for episodes this week: no new episode of "Legendary Locations". Wednesday we have marathons of "Expedition Unknown" reruns throughout the day. Something troubling is that our usual all-night "Destination Truth" marathons on Friday nights is not occurring this Friday, so I am hoping this is not permanent. It doesn't appear that Discovery has picked up "DT" reruns, so I would just advise you all to stay tuned. You can go to this link via Travel Channel to check out when reruns are scheduled. You can also check out season passes of these shows on iTunes. Those who have a Season 5 pass of "Expedition" like I do, I would advise you guys to also stay tuned to see if this new episode on "Discovery" will pop up via our digital passes on Wednesday after it first airs Tuesday. I know I will be! -Amanda

![]() Hi guys! New episode of "Legendary Locations" Wednesday night, as well as rerun marathons of "Expedition Unknown" on Wednesday and a "Destination Truth" marathon Friday on Travel Channel.

Tweet me feedback at @DTonSYFYfans, or comment below. I would love to know how to best service fellow fans! ![]() Hi, fellow fans. This week, we have a new episode of "Legendary Locations" on Wednesday night, with lots of reruns of "Expedition Unknown" and "Legendary Locations" the same night on Travel Channel. There is also an all-night "Destination Truth" marathon on Friday. There is also news about "Expedition Unknown" now being aired on Discovery Channel! Get more information at this link. As far as if this means new episodes will only premiere on Discover and not Travel Channel, or what the situation is, I will get more info for you. To round up this week's update, check out this blog of times where Josh Gates replied to mean tweets, or tweeted about some important issues in his typical Josh manner. Enjoy! Being a celebrity on social media opens you up to getting to interact with your biggest fans. It also opens you up to your biggest critics when you voice your opinion. For your amusement, here are the times Joshua Gates of "Expedition Unknown," "Destination Truth" and "Legendary Locations" got savage when replying to mean tweets. ![]() Oh, this old chestnut. When someone says that Josh does not "find anything" on his shows. I have spent many years as the fan site runner of this site trying to explain to people that you can't always throw a net over a cryptozoology creature or a ghost. Also, the nature of researching historical mysteries does not guarantee a major discovery. It's about travel and learning about new cultures. So this reply = YES. ![]() Gosh darn it, I have no idea how this tweet slipped through the cracks with me! On a daily basis, I see questions about why Travel Channel advertises "new" Destination Truth episodes and get a lot of confused, or angry tweets, asking what the deal is. Travel Channel is airing them out of order from how they were originally shot and aired on Syfy. But it's nice to see Josh address it on his end. ![]() This is as clear cut as it gets. A public figure is a person, too. They are allowed to have their own opinion about politics. Especially when someone is in a position of having influence, it is important that they try to open their fans up to different points of view. I think he handled this nicely. It IS possible to separate a TV show host, or actor, or singer from their politics. ![]() This one is not so much Josh replying to a hater. This is him using his platform to bring light to an important issue. As a very frequent traveler, Josh sees the impact that his fellow travelers and the travel industry has on the world. Him bringing this issue of wasting resources on to go food at a hotel is very enlightening. It is easy when you travel to forget the impact that the plastic utensils we use, and the travel size bottles we throw out, and the take out we consume on the road have on the environment. Kudos to Josh and I hope that Marriott took this eye opening photo into account for their hotels. Finally, my favorite time Josh just said IDGAF on Twitter was when he went head to head with McDonalds after watching one of their Super Bowl ads in 2015. Priceless. I'm lovin' it. What are YOUR favorite Josh Gates sassy tweets? ![]() Hello, fellow Josh Gates fans! We have rerun marathons and a new episode this week! Legendary Locations: new episode Wednesday night, as well as a marathon of reruns Wednesday morning and night. Expedition Unknown: reruns marathon Wednesday night and one rerun Saturday morning. Destination Truth: marathon of reruns Friday night. And to answer a Q that has been popping up recently - no, they are not new episodes. Travel Channel is just airing them out of order from when they were originally shot and aired via Syfy. |
