It looks, from the likes of Josh's recent tweets from overseas that filming has begun for "Expedition Unknown", his new show on the Travel Channel. For those who don't know, Syfy's "DT" was canceled and this will be the new show we get in it's place. For all the info we have on the show, so far, click HERE for the previous blog update.

After the sad announcement that "DT" was canceled last week, we were rewarded with some amazing news yesterday! Josh announced that he will not only be working with the Travel Channel now, but that he will be hosting a brand new series called "Expedition Unknown"! Here is what we know and what we don't know yet:

• We will initially get 6 one hour long episodes SOURCE HERE 
• The show will be produced by Ping Pong Productions, so it will likely be similar format to "DT" with some significant changes 
• "Josh Gates’ trek’s to sites linked to famous mysteries such as the disappearance of Amelia Earhart’s plane" SOURCE HERE 
• It is unknown if any other "DT" alumni will be involved, but Ping Pong is a pretty tight knit crew, so we can keep our fingers crossed
• It is unknown if Josh will be working with any other Travel Channel personalities on this show yet
• It is unknown if the series has begun filming yet or when it will air
