![]() In this awesome interview the fan site got to do with Josh at the San Diego Travel & Adventure Show this past month, Josh chats about looking for new locations for “Expedition Unknown”, what happened with Destination Dinner, the fans, going to Canada, and lots of fun topics! Watch the whole video interview by clicking HERE. Otherwise, some fun sound bytes are transcribed below. Amanda at SingularityFanPages.com: Which “Expedition Unknown” episode has had the best fan reactions that you’ve seen, so far? Josh Gates: The Peru episode looking for the Lost Incan City. I just love that show because it feels like a real trek, it feels like a real adventure off into the unknown. Like the last episode of the Viking Sun Stone, we worried will it be too geeky…but people have been so complimentary about it. Amanda: Will you ever be able to convince Erin Ryder to be a part of “Expedition Unknown”? Fans really are asking for her, and Ryder has seen and favorited a lot of tweets about the subject the last few weeks. Josh: I don’t know if she would be available or convinced. I would book Ryder in a heart beat. She is amazing, and I always say it - she is such a cool travel partner, she’s like my girl Friday (because Josh has referenced this before: I believe this is a reference to the Cary Grant film “His Girl Friday”) I miss being out in the world with her, but you know. New project, new show, different show, so I would say “never say never”. If it isn’t this, it’s something else. I would love to work with her anytime. We were a great team. Amanda: Are you the long lost twin brother of Chris Pratt? (asked because quite a few fans have compared his looks and often sense of humor with Josh’s) Josh: No, but I would love to be! That guy is doing pretty good right now! He, I don’t know what happened there - I loved him from way back, and now he’s got this whole amazing thing going on. He’s just become overnight America’s action star, and he’s awesome at it. I have high hopes for Jurassic World, I know there are Indiana Jones rumors floating around about him. He deserves it. He’s hilarious.

Hi Truthies! I finally was able to get the technical issues sorted to edit and post 2 videos from the San Diego Travel & Adventure Show this past weekend. Video/audio from the interview is coming soon, as Friday the 13th seemed to have come a day late for me and one of the pieces of the interview was distorted, so I will salvage the audio and figure it out.
Check out the first video (link HERE) that starts with Josh meeting fans set to a beautiful song by my friend Paul's band, Hope for Icarus, followed by Josh sharing one of his hilarious travel stories from his book (link to book HERE). The other video is a funny blooper type vlog showing you guys how fun the Travel Show was, including some funny Josh moments (link HERE). Also, some more fan photos from the day are below, credit to Corinne, Dawn & Michael. Hi Truthies! Due to some technical issues, I haven't been able to edit and upload my videos from the San Diego Travel & Adventure Show Josh was at yesterday. I will have those up tomorrow, which includes video from his big talk, at his autograph session & an exclusive interview where he talks about Ryder, Destination Dinners, and more!
For now, enjoy the photos below. Please be sure to credit Amanda Rosenblatt for use of any images. Hi Truthies! Michelle, one of the awesome people who helps me run this fan site, recently spoke to Brad at the production company. He said the view count for "Expedition Unknown" is doing really, really well, so thanks for watching on Travel Channel and Canada's DTOUR each week! New episode coming up again this Thursday at 9 p.m. EST, 8 central.
If you ever wanted to meet Josh or get an autograph for your sister Gertrude who is his biggest fan ever and it will be the best birthday present for her ever (okay, that's a made up scenario, but anyway), check out this list of appearances Josh is doing this year! NOTE: If you're at the San Diego appearance this weekend, tweet me at @joshuagatesfans and let me know. I will be taking photos of and filming fans for the site!
