"DT" Demographics Article

This piece is great because it shows who is into "Destination Truth" and how many people viewed it in order to green-light it for a new season. Unless I read the piece incorrectly, I think the show will either feature or show Josh being inducted into The Explorer's Club, but regardless, these facts are interesting:


"Josh’s thrilling and humorous adventures into the unknown made Destination Truth a bona fide ratings hit for SCI FI, bringing in over 1 million new viewers over its 6-week debut season in summer of 2007. Season 2 was the best sophomore performance for a reality series on SCI FI ever, and outperformed the first season in all key demographics: household rating (+9%), total viewers (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+17%) and Adults 25-54 (+28%)."

The whole article is fascinating, but the link I was directed to for it features an unfavorable review, where the Jayson Peters states:

"Nothing against Gates — I’ve watched a few episodes and he’s a fine presenter. But he’s no Josh Bernstein and the material is 100%  Sasquatch dung."

As a person with a Degree in Communication/Journalism, I must say that I am very impartial to the opinion of others, which is why I posted this piece. As a fan, all I can say is enough people are watching it to even have it BE renewed to a Third Season, so HA!
