Hi guys! Due to feedback on how difficult it's always been to grab these old DT Fan Radio episodes from BTR, I've been slowly archiving and moving them over to YouTube. Also, as always, you can look for these on the iTunes Podcast section and download them for free by looking for them via "destination truth fan radio" "dt fan radio" and "mandogg house radio" on there. I also just wrote the "Fan Guide to Destination Truth" which will soon be available on Amazon and Kindle, which chronicles some of the awesome interviews done with the cast , so I encourage you to pick up a copy, when it's available!

Here is a summary of what happened in the Josh Gates DT Fan Radio episode recently hosted by DT fan ambassador Amanda @DTonSYFYfans. Thanks to Erika for helping!

Josh is sorry for not being at NYCC last Fall – had a disfiguring poison ivy incident
said it had been a while since he was on "DT" Fan Radio
he's not sure as of 2/20/13 if he had won the shortyaward.com award for travel yet
he appreciates everyone who did vote for him and to those who put up with his nagging for votes
he developed Syfy's "Stranded" himself with help from Casey and Brad from Ping Pong Prods.
"Stranded" follows new interesting paranormal format, something "voyeuristic"
Jason Bloom who made "Paranormal Activity”, "Insidious" and "Dark Skies" helped with "Stranded"

DT Fan Radio List & re: Transcript Requests

Here is a cumulative list of "Destination Truth" radio shows (aka DT Fan Radio) that had cast members on that fans can download or request summarized transcripts of (it won't be a word-for-word transcript - it would be a summary with some choice quotes pulled). To download, go to my BlogTalk page, locate the episode you want, click on the link to the episode page, then under the box where the radio show logo is or where the advertisement is playing, there is small blue text underneath. Find the "download this episode" link and right click it to save the MP3. For those who formally request a transcript by contacting me; I will do so as fast as I can, but this is a non-profit fan site only run by one person, so you may have to wait a while.

Here's a quick wrap-up of DT Fan Radio with Josh from 3/1/12. This is not a full transcript. To request one of any past DT Fan Radio shows or this one, click here and fill out the page for a request from Amanda.

Josh knows the air date for Season Five on Syfy, but is not allowed to share it.
On fan interaction/events this year versus previous ones: He has C2E2 a convention in Chicago coming up, as well as Scarefest in the south later this year. He will try to be at Comic Con San Diego Thursday and maybe Friday of this year, but has a prior commitment for that time period. He has a possible fan event in June, but it's not set in stone yet. He'd ideally like to do fan events once every month or once every six weeks to make himself more accessible.
"I really want to make more of an effort this year...to meet fans and do more appearances." Josh enjoys fan events so that he can talk about not only "DT", but about his enthusiasm for travel and his experiences with the paranormal. He more prefers to discuss travel to anything, but is happy to be around fans.
In regards to Jeff Rice's passing (a fixer/production coordinator for "DT" in Africa), he remembers Jeff appearing on camera even though he didn't want to but did so to assist the crew in translating when their native translator wasn't cutting it. Josh called him a "rockstar" - "Jeff was the real-world version of what I'm trying to be on TV...he really knew his stuff."

Among fan questions Josh answered - favorite cold/sickness remedies, his order of favorite Indiana Jones movies, where he gets what kind of humor from in regards to his parents, favorite Disney attractions, about literature, the best/worst advice he's ever gotten & more!

I've noticed and have been so grateful the last half-year or so seeing a lot of people helping me promote these DT Fan Radio specials, even people outside of the DT fan community and established journalists!
