Josh once again hosts "GH Live" in 2010 and despite the disclaimers, some fans just can't help themselves from gravitating near the set to try and get a glimpse of Josh and other talent. Kellee and Nancy of Buffalo NY dropped by the night before Halloween and shared the experience:

From Kellee - "Just got back from watching the Ghost Hunters set from afar. I saw Josh doing an opening sequence. But that was as close was we got to him. Jason & Grant came over to say hello to us die-hards hanging out like a bunch of geeks. It was great fun. I wish we could have met Josh :( Oh Well."

I've been getting a lot of really nice comments about THIS STORY of Marc's mom getting a Josh autograph before she had serious surgery earlier this year. For those curious on an update of her condition, here's what Marc wrote me:

"S
he is coming along. Tell everyone who has asked thank you very much and yourself included. Josh's picture sits on Moms coffee table in her living room. And when I watch DT. I always think how kind he was in doing so. Take care and thanks. -Marc"

Mike Mize recently got in touch with me to share the above autograph (larger version HERE) and this short exclusive:

"Josh sent an autographed Travel Journal and Photo and I signed a release allowing them to use my conversation with Josh and his Producer concerning thier visit to Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia...Due to age and decrepitude I think I will pass on my photo and I am shy about photo's of the gifts because of a NDA I signed."

Tony, his brother and mom talked to Josh, along with Team Truth, about their experiences with the Taotaomona of Guam. Tony told me that the crew was very nice and the process, shoot and all, took about an hour. They were initially interviewed by Heather, the new girl, first and then met Josh. Except for a mild accident with one of the crew members (can't go into more details about that or what Tony and family talked about with the crew), I'm told they had a great time on Guam! Cassy, of Ponte Vedra Beach FL, shares the story of her and her sister Stephanie's brand new Josh autographs (their photo is in "fan photos" under "site exclusives" -

My sister and I religiously watch Ghost Hunters, so when we saw the very first preview for Destination Truth, we were intrigued, and after the first episode we were hooked! If I would miss an episode because I had class, I would be in the library attempting to study, but instead I would be trying to find the episode I missed online. Josh Gates is absolutely hilarious; his witty and sarcastic sense of humor is all too similar to ours. We often find ourselves quoting Josh, for example "There is no smoking...in the doily van, these doilies were hand made in the 15th century, specifically for this van." HAHA!

Along with his humor, their adventures and paranormal evidence that they find keeps us tuning in every week. Among our favorite episodes are The Doll Island, Chernobyl, and The Yeti. "Are we there yeti?" "I want some spa-yeti." While Josh is our favorite member of the crew, we do love the rest of the crew as well, especially Ryder's occasional "spaz outs" and we were so happy to see her back on this season!

When we decided to write Josh and ask for autographed pictures, we didn't really expect a response. However about 2 months later we came home, and saw the envelope on our kitchen counter. I glanced at it and saw "Gates, Los Angeles, CA" We were both screaming in excitement, and couldn't believe it. So.... now we both have pictures of Josh in our rooms, Hope that's not creepy, haha! :) My sister and I definitely consider ourselves Josh's #1 fans, and can't wait to continue to watch!

When I received this story from a fellow fan, I knew I had to help. Forwarded the story to Josh and it touched him so much that he sent an autograph. Here is the story (additional pictures are available in "fan photos" under "site exclusives":

In the week of March 13 my mother suffered a stroke and a heart attack. The week she was in the hospital happen to be the week of the Destination Truth Marathon and also the season premiere. With all that Mom had been through she was over joyed to see Josh and watching the marathon. Although she has had a hard time pronouncing Josh's name, she thoroughly enjoys him and loves the show. With Mom watching the show that week, I wrote a letter to Josh personally and also Amanda from the Destination Truth & Josh Gates fan pages on Facebook. Within a short time, Mom received a get well picture [with an autograph reading "Antonia - Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery!"] of Josh which lifted Mom's spirits before her upcoming surgery. I would like to thank Josh and Amanda for taking the time with there busy schedules to think of my mother during these times.

Michelle will soon be sending along the photos from her encounter, but here is her story for now:
HI Amanda,
Actually it was by pure chance and I was so lucky. I watch the show religiously and I just happen to have a beak at work came down to Blends Coffee in Downtown Kelowna and I noticed this guy and camera crew on the corner just filming something and I thought to myself man that looks an aweful lot like Josh from Destination Truth and then he talked and I said to myself "holy crap it is!!" So went inside still watching and got my coffee came back outside and they were all still there and I happen to ask soemguy that was with the crew not sure who he was "If Josh would take a picture with me and if I could meet him." and the guy said "oh ya sure" and called Josh over we introdured each other and then took the picture which I have on my phone but do not know how to download it off because I need to get an attachment but once I do I will post it to you. And I told him I screamed inside "Destination Truth" and he laughed of course and told him I loved theshow watch it all the time and I let them all on there merry way. Super great guy!! They were in Kelowna to see if they could find the Ogogpogo which I am sure they did not but myybe they found some kind of evidence to say there is something in our waters because alot of people swear by it!! Thanks for asking about how we meet and it was a chance in a lifetime and glad I braved out it and met him. Thanks Josh!!!!

Hey,
Here's my story!
I work at a bookstore in Ma and one day in walks Josh Gates.  I completely lost it.  I made my co-worker take a pic of us and then I said Oh my God, I love you (how embarrassing)!  He replied.  I love me too!  Funny but humiliating.  I got this pic so it was totally worth making a fool out of myself!
