HI Amanda! Okay, here is my story. I'm not sure how many words you are looking for or how detailed you want it to be. So i'm just gonna give it all to you and you and can do what you want with it :-)  (Rest of story after the break)
I originally planned my trip to Antarctica in February of 2010. This trip was to complete my goal of touching all 7 continents within 6 years and Antarctica was to be my last. On Jan 7th 2011, I set sail and my trip was incredible! I saw ton's of amazing animals and met some incredible people. I even went swimming at Deception Island and the water was only 2 Celsius (35F)! After an incredible trip, i was supposed to fly out of Ushuaia at 7:55pm on the 16th. At 1am on the 17th, they decided to tell us that our flight was canceled! So, back to a hotel we all went. The following morning, at 8am, we went back to the airport to try and get on another flight because we were supposed to be flying to Buenos Aires for the second part of our vacation. At around 10:30am, while eating lunch, I heard a familiar voice. I stopped eating my salomi sandwich and stood up to look around. I knew the voice but couldn't place where i knew it from. I hear it again and then i saw him! Well, I nearly threw up! lol I couldn't believe my eyes! There stood Josh Gates! At the "End of the World" as it is known, of all places! I was so excited and i wanted his autograph and to talk to him, but thought i would be bothering him. so i let about 10 minutes go by while i pondered. Finally, I said to myself, "GO UP TO HIM AND SAY HI". Well, I chickened out! Instead I went up to Shawn (medic) and Gabriel (cameraman). I talked with them and they brought me over to meet Josh. At that time, Josh posed for a picture, we chatted about what each of us was doing there and then said our goodbyes. It was quite brief to be honest. I then went back to Shawn and Gabriel and got their autographs and pics. We all chatted for quite a while and it was pretty entertaining. Then about 6 hours later, i was finally able to catch anther flight out and continue the second half of my adventure.
Thanks for having an interest, :-) Jay
