Destination Truth' third season debuts on Sept. 9 at 9 p.m. This season, host Josh Gates will travel to some of the most extreme locations on earth, including the isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan and the heart of the world's worst nuclear accident at Chernobyl. Viewers will also ride along on unprecedented investigations, including the world's first overnight exploration of King Tut's cursed tomb and pitch-black dives in ancient Caribbean caves.
-Streaming Player of my radio show added to the "Radio" page
-Photo added to my "Blog"
-A page has been added which includes a live feed of DT news as it happens. The source is from the Facebook page that I run, and I encourage you all to join and interact with other fans :)
Here is what I've done to the site:
-photos added to "Fan/Candid/Rare Photos" page
-Joni's encounter and my encounter added to "Fans, Stories, Encounters"
-"Fan Gear" updated. Stickers have sold out, and because of a minor copyright issue involved with the site I order from, I need to wait on the okay from Syfy to the company to order more.
-"Radio" page updated
-Photos from Josh at the NASDAQ market closing on July 7 2009 added to "News"
-A good number of people have requested to add me on Facebook, but since I wanna try and keep stuff about my life private, I have added a Blog and a Bio page of my own to this site. I'm sorry to not add everyone, guys, but it gets to be a bit much :( You can check these items out at "Amanda's Blog" and "About the Website Creator"
Also, I have obtained the first season of "Beg Borrow and Deal," but I need to wait until I have permission to share any footage from it. Wait on it, and I promise I'll let you guys as soon as I know.
Rest in Peace, Walter Cronkite
Meant to post this yesterday, but there was a new video posted on the DT page on Syfy.com introducing us to the new crew of the show! The only veterans of the other seasons are Josh and Gabe.
Watch the video by clicking HERE.
Hey guys! I wrote an official article on my coverage of the Imagination Park event, including my interview with Josh (different from the report I typed up for the site) and it has so far been published at the NoControl TV Blog!
The link for the story was added to the "Exclusive Syfy Relaunch Coverage" and "News" Pages, but you can read it by clicking HERE.
Hi everyone! I'm back and I have a ton of updates, including from the SyFy relaunch event that was held in NYC yesterday. Check out the list :)
-NEWS - Photos and Video of Josh Gates and other SyFy figures at NASDAQ closing ceremony, July 7th 2009
-MEDIA - the link to the interactive page to explore the "Imagination House" added. Find the DT room and play the addictive new game!
-VIDEOS - I took a trip to NYC to see the relaunch of the SyFy Network, where Josh Gates would be. There are three videos regarding my trip, including an on-camera interview with Josh and myself in one of them. The other videos featured are behind the scenes footage of the "House of Imagination" short film from SyFy.
-Two new pages added. One is an extensive photo gallery of the SyFy Imagination Park event, featuring all photos taken by me. The second page has my extensive report regarding my coverage of the event, as well as photos of myself with Josh, and Josh with the official DT Fan Stickers.
Enjoy!!!!
If anyone will be in the NYC area on Tuesday, the 7th, pop on down to Rockefeller Center early on for a chance to maybe run into Josh Gates, who will be at the event!
Here are some details on the relaunch:
As SCI FI becomes Syfy on July 7th, a marketing campaign designed to celebrate imagination will also launch. The multi-platform initiative will embrace consumers online, on-air, on the streets, at New York City landmarks, movies and museums, parks, ice skating rinks, or while strolling through the specially created Syfy Imagination Park at Rockefeller Center, where the groundbreaking Syfy Brand Film “House of Imagination” comes alive.
"The event kicks off the morning of Tuesday, July 7. Dave Howe, President, Syfy along with top Syfy talent, will officially open Syfy Imagination Park at Rockefeller Center, where branded Syfy flags will fly around The Rink to mark the occasion."
I do not have a confirmation on what time the event starts, but I will let you know as soon as I do. If anyone would like to meet up that day, let me know if you're in the area!
Here are a couple of big updates I updated on Facebook and Twitter, but not here:
First off, Josh appears in a new commercial/short film for the switch to SyFy. You can read the article and view the video here:

Secondly, if any Josh fans are going to Comic Con 2009 in San Diego this month, go to the Eureka panel because JOSH IS MODERATING! If any of you go, please flood the site with videos, photos and stories for me to post (as I most likely won't be going).
FRIDAY, JULY 24th - 3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m. Eureka Room 6BCF. Eureka is back this summer with all new episodes, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Allison Blake), Erica Cerra (Jo Lupo), Neil Grayston (Douglas Fargo) and Jaime Paglia (executive producer/co-creator) are stopping by to let you in on the fun. Moderated by Josh Gates, Destination Truth.
